To All Navajo Nation Employees,

The Navajo Division of Transportation (Navajo DOT) would like to inform all employees that we are currently working with a subcontractor to address pavement buckling near the intersection adjacent to the Navajo Police Department in Window Rock. To help maintain traffic flow and provide safe access through the area, Navajo DOT has established several temporary detour routes. These detours are designed to direct motorists back onto State Route 264 and provide access to Tribal offices within Window Rock.

Please note that the northbound and southbound travel lanes will remain open during the repair work and are not expected to be closed at this time. Motorists should continue to use caution, follow posted traffic control signs, and utilize the designated detour routes as needed. Employees are encouraged to allow additional travel time, as minor delays may occur while crews work to repair the pavement. 

For your convenience, a detour map is attached to this email for reference.

This memorandum is to inform all departments that employee timesheets be reviewed, approved and authorized no later than 10am on September 8, 2026, due to the upcoming Labor Day Holiday being observed on September 7, 2026. Managers and Supervisors are to verify hours, check for discrepancies, and authorize all timesheets. 

This memorandum informs all Navajo Nation Branches, Divisions, Departments, Programs, and the public that the Navajo Business Regulatory Department (BRD), Division of Economic Development, will provide limited services during the week of August 18, 2026 (12 p.m.) through August 20, 2026 (5 p.m.)

Please be advised that the Office of Legislative Services will be closed on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to Friday, September 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Please be advised that the Navajo Nation Veterans Administration (NNVA) Western Agency and Eastern Agency Office will be closed from Tuesday, August 18, 2026, through Friday, August 21, 2026.
