All offices of the Navajo Office of Vital Records & Identification (the Census Office) will be closed on Wednesday, July 30 through Friday, August 1. All offices will be closed due to mandatory training on the new tribal enrollment database software.

Navajo Nation Executive Branch’s Fiscal Year 2025 Third Quarter Report. The report provides both data and narrative reporting for the months of May, June, July 2025. This Fiscal Year 2025 Comprehensive Quarterly Report consists of three reports that were developed by the Executive Branch divisions, programs, departments, and sectors of the division.

WINDOW ROCK, NAVAJO NATION (July 15, 2025) – The Navajo Department of Health (NDOH) is issuing a Public Health - Air Quality Advisory-PHAQ-001-25 for the entire Navajo Nation due to elevated particulate matter from smoke due to recent wildfires in the area.

The Navajo Division of Transportation (Navajo DOT) is proud to announce the launch of a new online portal that allows the public to report potholes across the Navajo Nation. This new feature is now available on the Navajo DOT website at navajodot.org.

The Diné Uranium Remediation Advisory Commission will hold its regular meeting in the Eastern Abandoned Uranium Mines (AUM) Region on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10 AM at the Thoreau Chapter House, 1 Mile Marker NM-371, Thoreau, NM, 87323. The Commissioners will tour the Eastern AUM Region mines on Friday, June 27, 2027. This Commission regular meeting will be open to the public.

The purpose of the Uranium Commission is to study and reach conclusions about the impacts of uranium mining and uranium processing on the Navajo Nation and to make recommendations to the President of the Navajo Nation and to the Navajo Nation Council for policies, laws and regulations to address those impacts.

This memorandum is to inform all Navajo Nation Divisions, Departments, Programs and the Public that the Navajo Office of Vital Records & Identification will have limited services at the Fort Defiance, Eastern Agency, Shiprock Agency and the Central Administration office and the Tuba City and Chinle offices will be closed beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 through 1 p.m. Friday, June 13. NOVRI will be participating in the Division of Human Resources summit. 

The Navajo Nation Telecommunications Regulatory Commission will convene its monthly regular meeting on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 9:00 AM (MT) at the Navajo Nation Division of Transportation Conference Room 307, #16 Old Coalmine Rd, Mentmore, NM 87319.

The advisory, issued on June 5, 2025, provides important public health information regarding a confirmed measles case in San Juan County, NM (off the Navajo Nation), and outlines key symptoms, prevention tips, and vaccination guidance. At this time, no cases have been reported on the Navajo Nation, but awareness is important to help protect our communities.
