DPM Launches NEW ERP Information Webpage

The Navajo Nation Department of Personnel Management (DPM) is pleased to announce the launch of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) information webpage, supporting the Nation’s ongoing transition to a unified, modern ERP platform.

Temporary Office Closure - Office of the Navajo Tax Commission

We would like to inform you that the Office of the Navajo Tax Commission will be closed from November 4, 2025, to November 6, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for training purposes. Normal office hours will resume on November 7, 2025, at 8:00 AM. All tax inquiries will be addressed when the office reopens. Thank you for your understanding.

Administrative Procedure for the Employee Personnel Pool for Vacant Positions

Section 2(H) of the Navajo Nation Council Resolution CS-44-25, approving the FY 2026 Comprehensive Budget, included an appropriation from the Personnel Lapse Saving Fund Account to establish a personnel pool to fund personnel costs once an individual is hired for a vacant position. Disbursements from the pool are to be handled administratively through a process developed by the Department of Personnel Management, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Office of the Controller, in consultation with the Department of Justice.

Renovation Commencement - Administration Building One

This memorandum is issued to notify all staff that renovation work will begin in the Administration Building One. The affected areas include the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Section, Department of Personnel Management (DPM) Section, and Division of General Services (DGS) Section.


Starting Tuesday, October 14, 2025, AG Solutions will be present on-site to commence preparatory activities for the removal of specified office areas and cubicles located on the northeast section of the second floor in Administration Building One.

The Navajo Natural Heritage Program has excess ink and toner leftover. We would like to give the ink and toners to other departments that utilize printers that use those specific parts.

OMB Office Limited Services

This memorandum is notice that OMB Office will provide limited services from Monday, October 13, 2025, to Friday, October 17, 2025. This will be from 9:30am to 4:30pm each day. OMB staff will be attending training to prepare for implementation of the new Budget Development System by Arctic IT/ERP. OMB will resume regular business hours on Monday, October 20. 2025.

FY 2026 Underwriting Exposure Summary Billing

This memorandum provides formal justification for the FY 2026 insurance billing process. At this time, chapters have not received an approved budget for FY 2026. Accordingly, the Risk Management Program will not bill for FY 2026 General Liability coverage until chapters confirm their approved budget allocations.

This memorandum serves as an official notification that all Navajo Nation Executive Branch employees, permanent and temporary, are granted two (2) hours of Administrative Leave from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025. Please use this time to return home safely, as severe inclement weather is expected. Excluded from this release are Division Directors, Deputy Division Directors, and OPVP Executive Staff who will continue with their regular business duties. Essential service workers, first responders, other emergency personnel, and public safety employees will continue to follow their set schedules, unless arrangements are made with an immediate supervisor.

112th Northern Navajo Nation Fair - Shiprock, NM

Shiprock Fleet Management will be open during normal business hours and extend our hours on the following days during the 112th Northern Navajo Nation Fair.

Friday, October 03, 2025        5:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Saturday, October 04, 2025        1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Shiprock Fleet Management will attend to MINOR repairs and wrecker/road services only.  All Department and Programs are to ensure all PM-Services are completed by your respective Fleet Service Center before commencing travel.  All Department and Programs need to confirm that vehicle and personal HID cards are active prior to travel. Use of Wright Express commercial fuel card in the local area is not permitted.

For after hour roadside assistance that involves towing, contact Shiprock Police Department at (505) 368-1350/1351.  Shiprock Service Center will have personnel on stand –by.

2025 Annual Open Enrollment - October 1, 2025, through November 30, 2025

The Navajo Nation Employee Benefit Program’s Annual Open Enrollment period begins in October and continues through November for election of dependent health and life insurance. Regular status employees may take this opportunity to submit an enrollment application to add eligible dependents to their insurance coverage who may not have been added within 31 days from the date they initially became eligible.

The Navajo Disability Awareness Conference will be held October 29, 2025 at High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff, AZ. This conference will provide information and workshops for people with disabilities and for people who work with individuals with disabilities on the Navajo Nation. 

The conference will also allow the opportunity for families to learn about early childhood programs and resources that are available in the area.

Upcoming Microsoft MFA Changes - Action Required Beginning Monday, September 29, 2025

This memo serves as official notification that, beginning Monday, September 29, 2025, all (navajo-nsn.gov account holders will be prompted to verify their sign-in using multi-factor authentication (MFA) when accessing Microsoft 365 or other Navajo Nation work application.
Moving forward, all @navajo-nsn.gov users will standardize on either the Microsoft Authenticator app or the Cisco Duo Authenticator app for MFA.
Microsoft will retire its older MFA and self-service password reset (SSPR) settings on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. These legacy settings are being replaced by a new unified security system that enhances account protection and simplify management.
