The Department of Personnel Management in collaboration with the Navajo Nation Division of General Services and the Navajo Special Diabetes Program, welcome the public, job seekers. and new graduates to engage with our tribal departments and entities. Come explore employment opportunities, network, run or walk, and enjoy some refreshments with our team.

Divisions/departments/program are encouraged to sign up to participate.

Registered Participants will receive an Incentive. On site registration will begin at 5:00 pm and on-site Zumba will also be taking place at this event starting at 6:45 pm.

Fiscal Year 2024 Year-End Closing Timeline

This memo will serve as notification to all concerned that the following year end processing dates for the closing of the Fiscal Year 2024 activities for all General Funds programs which fund term ends on September 30, 2024. The FMIS System will be unavailable on September 30, 2024, therefore this will be the only notice provided from the Office of the Controller. Please prepare/plan as it is not guaranteed that your documents will be processed. The limiting factor depends on the workload. Do not wait to submit documents. Navajo LIHEAP Applications now Available at your local Chapter House

Through collaboration with the Navajo Division of Community Development, the Division of Social Services' Financial Assistance Unit will work directly with the 110 Navajo Chapters to distribute the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program applications. Data Summit hosted by the Dine Action Plan Advisory Group

Registration is Free. Limited to 100 participants.

The Data Summit will assist the Advisory Group to identify strategies and initiate decision making about addressing challenges on the Navajo Nation with alcohol and substance abuse, domestic violence prevention, suicide prevention, and Missing, Murdered Dine’ Relatives.

The Navajo Nation Department of Personnel Management would like to say "Thank you" to our partners and participants.

The Department of Personnel Management (DPM) hosted a Fun Run & Walk Job Fair and Zumba on July 3rd, 2024, at 6 pm. Collectively, DPM, Navajo Special Diabetes Program, and the Navajo Nation Office of the President and Vice-President orchestrated the event.

The event captured 151 participants and 21 registered booths. Participants engaged in visiting the job fair booths, running or walking, and Zumba. It was a fantastic opportunity to both network and be active. DPM thanks both participants and Navajo Nation employees for their attendance. A very special thank you to the Navajo Police Department and Navajo Fire & Rescue for assisting with patrol and visibility. We look forward to future partnerships together.

Our next planned event is planned tentatively for August 9, 2024 @ 6:30 pm in Window Rock, Arizona. See you there!

First case of COVID-19 U.K. variant confirmed on the Navajo Nation

On Tuesday, the Navajo Nation announced the first confirmed case of the COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 Strain Variant B.1.1.7 also referred to as the U.K. variant, from a COVID-19 test sample that was obtained in the western portion of the Navajo Nation. The U.K. variant is currently the most dominant variant in the United States and has been detected in all 50 states, including many cases in the Four Corners states.

Postcards Encouraging Households to Respond to 2020 Census Sent to P.O. Boxes

The U.S. Census Bureau is sending postcards between June 24 and July 3 to an estimated 1.3 million post office boxes in communities where P.O. boxes are the only mailing address available. The postcards alert households that a census taker may drop off census invitations soon or will visit later to interview them. The postcards also provide information on how to respond to the 2020 Census online or by phone.

TRAVEL ADVISORY RELATED TO COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS

As we learn more information about the COVID-19/novel coronavirus developments and the increasing concerns regarding the global spread of the COVID-19 virus, the health and well-being of our Navajo people is the top priority for the Nez-Lizer Administration, and this includes all of our Navajo Nation employees. At the time of this memorandum, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the Navajo Nation.

Navajo Nation Veterans Administration - Relocating to Another Building

The Navajo Nation Veterans Administration Central Administration and Fort Defiance Agency offices will be relocating this week. We are moving across the street to the former Dine Power Authority building in Window Rock, Arizona.

In the meantime, we will have limited services to provide until we are all settled into the new building. No later than Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 8:00am
