DAYFORCE Modernization Effort Continues to move forward

The Navajo Nation is continuing its government modernization efforts through the implementation of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Dayforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Performa BIDS, as part of a broader effort to improve efficiency, accountability, and internal operations across all programs and departments. While progress has been made, concerns related to payroll led to a temporary pause of the Dayforce payroll function so corrections could be made and accuracy could be verified through parallel testing.

The Nation has confirmed that system improvements have been implemented, and all employees and supervisors are now expected to enter, review, correct, and approve time and leave in Dayforce to support testing and payroll readiness. As of March 3, 2026, approximately 1,500 employee punches were still missing, creating a serious issue that could delay the testing process. Parallel testing is being used to compare paper records with Dayforce data to ensure payroll accuracy and build confidence before moving forward with the next payroll cycle beginning March 21 through April 3, 2026, with additional updates and resources available through the Department of Personnel Management.
