Navajo Transit System will begin charging a $3.00 bus fare to utilize our public transportation
system. This bus fare will go into effect on March 2, 2026. We have been fortunate to have
provided fare-free service for the last six years. Unfortunately, we must reimplement this bus fare

Navajo Land Department

The Fort Defiance Homesite Lease Office will be CLOSED the following days: Thursdays & Friday, January 29 & 30, 2026. The office closure is to allow for the relocation of staff from their interim workspace back to our permanent office location. The permanent office, which was previously closed due to flooding, has now been fully restored and is ready for use. Our office will begin normal operations on Monday, February 2, 2026.
