This memorandum serves as an official notification that all Navajo Nation Executive Branch employees, permanent and temporary, are granted two (2) hours of Administrative Leave from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
Due to the winter weather advisory and winter weather road conditions tonight, we will be on a two-hour delay to ensure our employees are able to travel safely to their worksites. Drive carefully and notify proper authorities of any emergencies that may occur due to this weather.

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. — The Navajo Department of Health (NDOH) and Navajo Epidemiology Center, in coordination with the Indian Health Service (IHS) and 638-Tribal Health Organizations are notifying the public of confirmed varicella (chickenpox) cases on the Navajo Nation. Chickenpox is a vaccine preventable disease, and we encourage all Navajo Nation residents to stay up to date with their vaccinations to provide immunity against dangerous diseases and to protect both yourself and your community.
